Amps I should go w/ on my setup?
The following are 4 Ch. Amps (50 watts X 4) and also 2 Ch. Amps (175 watts X 2). What I need to know is which of the following are of a high quality, show quality, and is highly efficient. Any help would be very much appreciate!! Thanxs
the ppi,it got the power and sound.
the eclipse is a good mids and highs amp,not for subs though!!
the orion is allright good all around
cant beleive not one voted for the zapco ,awsome amp the old ones.
my opinion on these since i have had them all.

What do you plan on running (speakers, processors, what car, etc.)? Also what is the budget?
In my eyes, the obvious ones are the Linear and Zapco...a class above the others there IMO. The JL is built in Korea - I like american made amps. The new PPI's are not the same as the older ones, their boards are being built overseas as well. The Orion xtreme series is nice, as is the HCCA line. You may also want to look at the PPI and Orion's older brother, a/d/s/. What about the Tantrum or Titanium line from Phoenix Gold?
The JL is probably the least efficient of them all. It's RIPS system means that it will put out the same amount of power with any input voltage from 12-15V and any impedance from 1.5-4 ohms. That means as soon as the voltage drops, the current draw will jump. Basically less efficient than the rest above. Some people see this as an advantage, others don't.
If it was my dollar, Arc Audio all the way. Designed by Robert Zeff (basically the Z in Zapco), extremely powerful and clean amps. They are a bit more expensive than most of what you posted here (except the linear and the zapco maybe)

Quality and comp wise of the ones you listed if money is no object that is, I would go with the orion HCCA series. They deliver massive amounts of current at low impedance levels good for multiple woofer setups.

I know everybody thinks Alpine are the best because Lambourghini uses them. Alpine has been pushing that for years, and I wouldn't be surprised if they PAID Lambourghini to use their product for advertising purposes. I own an Alpine 7380 stereo and it pumps out good bass, but I'm afraid you can get a lot better than virtually anything Alpine sells. I don't consider them top of the class in anything except marketing to the ignorant.
