Default Amps

I currently am using 2 12" JL w3's running on a 250 watt JL audio amp. I have an alpine head unit if that matters at all. Anyway I was wondering if it would be better to upgrade to a 500 watt amp and try to sell my 250 or buy another 250 and hook each up up to one sub. In your opinions through experience or knowledge let me know what would be better if it would be better at all.

yeah like he said i think jbl 600.1 or 1200.1 would be a great amp. i myself have a 300.1 because that's enough bass for me and i barely ever listen to it loud. $150 is a great price but ebay might have better prices. put it like this i got my 300.1 for about $120. the 600.1 does 300x2 @ 2ohms and the 1200.1 does 600x2 @ 2 ohms and the 1200.1 runs for about $250 at ebay i think. goodluck!!!!

Do whatever is cheaper. The RMS power will be the same regardless of if you run two of the 250/1's or one of the 500/1. Also consider the extra wires and distribution block.

Maybe get two of the 250/1's. At least if one ***** the bed you still have one sub pumpin!
