Default Help: Oil return line setup, good or bad?

Return line down from the Turbo

Down from the turbo, travel across intercooler and moves up a lil bit, then to oil pan.

Would this be the reason why my Turbo need a new seal? Is the line a little way too long?

No good. The oil is gravity fed, so it is just pooling up where it goes back up.

no good...

may need to retap the pan, current location looks too far from turbo or try a shorter line...

yea that is why you have an oil seal leak because oil isnt draing into your oil pan and is just pooling up in your turbo. cut the line and tap it in front of the oil pan as high as you can get it.

since oil isn't draining properly, its backing up in the line and blowing out the seals on the turbo

I've had a oil return that was just as 'horizontal', although it probably used half as much line. 'Bad line' + old turbo + 1/16" inlet restrictor = zero smoke. It likely would cause smoke/oil seapage if you had no restrictor and/or the turbo was already ****.
