When I took my block apart I found piston number 3 had cracked in between the rings- This tore up the cylinder wall a little but does not seem that bad. Is it more likely I will need to bore it out or can I get away with a hone? How much does it cost to hone a block at an average machine shop? $100 $200??? I will post some pics when I get a chance-

title is funny. and your answer is cause you are addicted. but anyways if its a stock block, then you better off buying a used one in good shape and swap it in. saves time and money. unless you have plans for it

 

i believe sleeving it could be done?

 

Why would I sleeve the block or get a new block when I can bore my block out?

Does anyone know the max bore with 81mm pistons 81.04?

 

max bor on a 81mm block is 82mm.. anything after that is trash.. unless you spend the money and get it sleeved

 

I'm talking about with a 81mm piston.
