i have a small scratch on the sleeve that catches the fingernail slightly..id much rather diy somehow...can i fix this with stone block or whatever u call it? if so where can i get one of these.. i would post a pic but i dont have a camera at the moment,,any help is appreciated..
depending on how bad the scratch / gouge is, a stone hone or a ball hone may take it out. just dont get overzealous with it.

Decking the block means making sure the surface is level.
You need a bore/hone

Maybe he means the top of the sleeve.

go to ao hardware store, and get some emory cloth, the purple sand paper that comes on a roll.
and ever so slightly with some wd40 massage it down. if you think thats too aggressive, use some 3m scotchbrite till you cant catch it with your fingernail.
i dont think youll need to deck it.
