i went on the freeway the other day and my car started to lose power and misfire. after checking it out i thought i had an exhaust leak. i changed the exhaust manifold cuz there was a crack in it, but my car is still misfiring. anybody know what could cause this?

 

check your spark plug wires, injector clips? maybe one popped off?

 

i thought it was that too, but the shop i took it too said my spark plugs and injectors were fine.

 

Does it do it more pronounced under load at low rpm or at higher rpm?

 

i only notice it when its at lower rpms. when im idling or sitting at a stop light, you can feel the car jerkin from the misfire. when im past 3000 rpms i dont feel it.

 

Did the shop check the distributor/coil or maybe even your timing? This could be a # of things...more info would be good

 

the shop only checked the spark plugs and the wires. it didnt really go into an indept inspection, because they were lazy. haha

 

So, did you firgure out the problem?
