Check Engine Light after installing new spark plugs
So I just replaced my old spark plugs and spark plug wires with a set of NGK V-Power plugs, and some 8mm NGK Wires.
After doing so, my engine idled real low after I started it up. It eventually idled up to about 1500 after leaving it on, and then started flashing a Check Engine Light. It also shakes really hard when I rev it.
I tried putting the old spark plugs and old wires back in, and I get the same problem.
The only thing I can think of that I might have done wrong was plug the wires into the distributor cap in the wrong order. If that isnt the problem, im really clueless here.
Can anyone lend some help on this subject? D16Y5 Engine if that helps at all. Thanks

Simplest thing, is of course to check that the wires are in the proper locations, like you said.
