Power window problem NOT THE SAME OLD CONVERSION QUESTION
I need help quick guys, I already encountered a thunderstorm this afternoon ugh....
'91 LX My windows are stuck down. I just completed a swap, but they worked fine after that. Now I don't even hear the motors trying. All the 20amp fuses are good.
I assume it's a relay or something shook loose from all the vibration with this new engine.
WHERE IS THE RELAY FOR POWER WINDOWS?? Autozone.com says it's in the fuse/relay block but I'm lost here......

the window motors usually go out 90 percent of the time ...take your door panel off..unplug the connector for that motor, now with a test light without pressing the switch you should have ground on both wires, and then with the switch pressed you should have one power one ground and the opposite when the switch is pulled up.. if you have that you need the regulator/motor
I wonder....if the master switch went bad, would that make it impossible to roll any of the windows down, even at the other door locations?

I think maybe you should test your motors, although it does not make sense for all four motors to go bad at the same time. Atleast this will allow you to power your windows up if you have a thunderstorm coming.
You can do this by taking the door panel off, then pulling the plug that goes to the motor out of the wiring harness. Then connect two jumper wires to the top two connections. Switch the positive and negative jumper wires to make them go up or down.
Is it just the driver's switch that doesnt work, or the switches for all four doors?

^ that's clutch info, thanks
i just had a look at the fusebox and that area you're describing was jammed up against something and looked bent.....
just to clarify, does that relay have wires coming out of the back of it?? not like the other relays, which plugged solely into the fusebox itself....? it's black...
