ok im doing a mini me setup on my 93 del sol. with a b7/z6. ive done some searching and found quite a few writeups but none of which really told me how to find tdc or how to actually time the ignition. i know this is probably a ****** noob question but hey im all out of ideas on where to find this info. thanks in advance for any help.

 

Line up all the timing marks on the cam gear and on the Crank pulley and your at TDC

 

TDC in Helms for the Z6 is with 'up' on the cam gear up, with the lower mark (at the 7 o'clock position) even with the rear cover's plastic pointer. The B7 is with 'up' point up, and the side marks even with the valve cover seal/top of the cyl head.
