Default What would cause this bogging?

When I'm accelerating, the car feels like it's bogging and misfiring. Even if I hold the accelerator steady and am going easy on the car.

I've replaced ignition coil, dizzy cap/rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter.

Sometimes when it's hot the car will have a hard time starting. It'll spin over for a few seconds then slowly sputter to life. There have been 3 times in the past year when while doing this it would get a CEL for random misfire in cylinders 1 & 2.

Eventually the car gets to the point where it jerks so bad people riding along notice it, then I replace the spark plugs and it seems to remedy it slightly for a few months.

Timing is good.

The problem seems to be worse as the car heats up but I'm not 100% sure if it is. After a few months the misfiring gets to the point where the car jerks randomly while accelerating.

I have a turbo kit practically ready to go on, but I'd like to solve this problem.

It's a 1997 Civic EX D16Y8 that is completely stock.

try moving ur distributor while cheking with the timing light. If u don' t have a light, just move it and drive around, and do it again till it drives fine. Its like a trial and error

I checked the timing with a timing light, it's correct.

Yeah, but like I said, I replaced the coil.

Think maybe the distributor is just going bad? I've replaced the cap/rotor/coil so don't know what else to try.

i guess it could be a bad sensor in the distributor, so i would go ahead and replace the distributor

Yeah I thought it might be a dizzy but I don't have the money to "try" a dizzy to see if they'd fix the problem. I have a wideband to buy

I'd rather get some second opinions before trying something else. The dizzy coil was $80
