PLEASE help, car stuttering/bogging
I have posted about this many times already but the problem is still around...
While I accelerate, the car will bog on and off and lately started stuttering like it's misfiring or something. It happens usually between 2-3k rpm, sometimes up to 3500rpm. It's noticeable enough that other people in the car ask what's up. Also when I'm driving, if I have it at WOT it'll "hiccup" sporadically. At lower rpms it's more violent and frequent.
I have changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, dizzy cap, dizzy rotor, and today the $80 ignition coil. The problem is still here.
It used to be just boggy feeling at 2-3k rpms, and today it also started stuttering or what we call hiccuping.
Once a looong time ago it threw a random misfire in a couple cylinders when I started the car up...but reset it and the car hasn't thrown any codes since then.
It's a D16Y8 with 145k miles. ANY suggestions or things to check would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks I edited the post to say it hasn't been throwing codes, I wish it would...would be very helpful.
I haven't checked the map or tps...honestly I was considering it today...but figured if either of those were the culprit the stuttering wouldn't be so unpredictable and would be pretty constant. If you think those could be the problem I can probably borrow my friends map or tps.

Ok I also thought about a problem with the fuel pump...but wouldn't that have more of an effect at higher rpms than lower? And again, wouldn't that be more of a consistant problem than a random one?
Thanks for the tips everyone, I'm going to bed hope there's more to read tomorrow.

Have you checked your timing?? It sounds now that I think about it more like a fuel issue. Something could be tripping out every once in awhile leaving you with the random problems instead of constant problems. I'd replace the fuel pump, injectors, and filter with better aftermarket ones. So even if it doesn't fix it you at least got some better parts in the long run.

If it was timing I'm almost 99.32% sure it would be a constant problem, wouldn't just suddenly bog/stutter on and off.
I also tried a map and tps sensor from another civic ex and had the same problem so that counts those out.
I'm not going to purchase a new fuel pump and injectors just to try the problem... I'd like if someone had some other cheaper things to try...or more sure answers

Fuel problems are weird, especially if the pump is sucking air and fuel. Or if its cutting in and out, and shitnit.
Any update on this problem?

Re: (99CivicSiBrian)
redline SI-1 Full fuel system cleaner. get a full tank in there and dump an entire bottle in that. if that doesnt help it or fix it. your going to have to take one and do injectors, rail, pump and clean out your ports. fuel problems are usually more noticeable at lower rpm's because the flow is so low that little obstructions can be magnified. also make sure you replace plug wires, you might have done that already. sorry. pull all your plugs out and do a compression check as well as inspecting your plugs for even wear. good luck bro. and have fun with that, problems are what make cars fun.
