What is the quitest muffler for my turbo teg
I want the quietest possible muffler for my teg, it is way too loud and i want to get a quit one, which is the quitest? I saw on carparts.com hook headers 3 inch turbo muffler would that be a muffler i can use?
greddy sp would be quiet on your car.. not the same power as a full 3" mandrel bent w/ a apex'i turbo n1 though, or possibly the 3" thermal (almost as loud as open downpipe, haven't seen power results yet, but looks good)
magnaflow... you got the custom piping and all... now add a magnaflow muffler. quietest straight through muffler i know of.
the "turbo mufflers" are restrictive... 3" but not straight through. another good one is borla, but that might be too loud (though they claim to be street legal) and another option might be gibson.
BTW, do you have a resonator on your exhaust?

Almost any straight thru is going to be loud.
I sacrificed some hp by getting a Apexi World Sport. I don't care that I'm losing power over a 3" straight through because it's very quiet. Even at WOT, all you really hear is the WG opening.
18psi with a Apexi WS is enough power for me.

well i guess that much boost is gonna make it feel negligable anyways.
I got my 3" magnaflow from http://www.roadraceengineering.com I've heard some mixed stories about those guys, but my order came out OK. My custom 3" exhaust turned out great. Let me know if you want some pics, I'll post them up.
I think the muffler was like $80 or so.

3" Glasspack baby! har har har......I don't drive my car daily so I'm going with a 3" custum exhaust and a 3" glasspack.....Doubt it'll be quite at all. I just can't stand the power i'm losing my with current 2.25" flowmaster exhaust
Heh, heh, you wanna talk restrictive and power loss ? I run a type R muffler on the street ! DP to Flex to B pipe to muffler. Talk about sleeper, that baby sounds like a turtle getting strangled. All W/G ! I can free-rev on a victim, I mean person... and it sounds ultra stock.
Anyone know if the R muffler is straight thru ? It sure looks like it.
