hello every one ! i have a 90 crx with a b series swap i just finished putting in a new starter because i thought that was the problem. I recently put in a new dizzy it was warming up fine in my garage to see daylight for the first time then i heard a ugly grinding noise then it shut off. Now it just sounds like its winding up. can any one help me i am frustrated i been trying to get this car out for 9 months now and ther is always something wrong with it

the starter is winding? if so your starter is bad same **** happened to me. some times it will click and crank some times just wind. if your starter is still new take it back and exchange it. make sure the connections are good at the starter. was the ugly grinding noise like when you try to start the car but its allready started?

 

the noise only happend once that was when the car was just sitting geting warmed up. it sounded like something grinded but at the timming belt area. then thats when the car just won't start. only wind

 

does the motor turn over?

 

manualy yes i did it. i thought it might have ceased also but no .. i am running out of options ...

 

when you crank the motor by hand at the crank, check to see if the cam gear is turning also. you could have a broken timing belt. When the timing belt breaks, the bottom end will turn very easily with no resistance and it also sounds like a whining sound. Ask me how i know this

 

well there are no break in it .. its a greddy belt its a fresh build ..

 

do u have spark to all four cylinder by any chance... i put new dizzy on my b series and it didnt help i ended up haveing a bad wire on the chassis harness that runs to the dizzy...
