ok so i blew my clutch,
and completely blew it.
i put a new clutch in
and now my car wont start.
it'll "start" but it barly start and its just sputtering and cuts off within a few seconds no matter how much gas i give it,

what would cause my car to do this?
map sensor? TPS?


all help is appreciated

 

Did you take any grounds off the motor when you did the clutch? Double check them all...

Throwing any codes?

 

all the grounds are good,
and its been throwing codes ever since i put the motor in, and no matter what i do the codes remain, i even took it to a shop and its still throwing codes, so i dont even bother looking at my ecu anymore to check for codes.

 

how is your fuel pressure? no external coils or ignition amps?

 

check the ground to your starter.

 

the ground wires are ALL fine.

so i changed the map sensor. no luck i changed my ecu, and its not throwing any codes now.... the battery died and i jumped it and then it seems to be running fine.
but now its not running fine..

could it be my alternator causing my car not to rev up?

 

sounds crazy but when i changed my clutch i took off my dizzy and i had accidentally changed my timing drastically. just an idea.

 

check that starter grounds and power and make sure its tight enough... that will make a big difference...

 

its all on tight, and when i changed my clutch i didnt touch the dizzy, and when the clutch went out the timing jumped. and i readjusted it with a tool from napa and my timing has never looked so good.

its gotta be something i just jumped my car and let it idle till it damn near overheated and the battery is still dead. but even when i jumped it and had the cables hooked to my brothers car it still wasnt running right

umm charge your battery first

 

the batt is new, i just went and got it tested and it was the alt... i changed that but its still not reving up very good which i think is my TPS which i will change when i have day light.

its good damn thing i have a honda junk yard in my back yard

 

ok that wasnt it.
and i have completely ran out of any ideas of what it could be
ive checked all the grounds, and how tight they were,
ive checked my whole wiring harness, and the wires going out of the ECU.
the timing is on point
ive changed the map.tps and cps, and the dizzy.
and it still wont run right.

what in gods motha ******* name can cuase a car to run like that?

what he said or possibly the throttle cable?...

 

most like its the dizzy... just make sure its TDC.
