Can I use a different wastegate actuator?
Hi All:
I picked up a used DSM 1G (TD05-14B) turbo for cheap. It looks like the thing got dropped during shipping
and the the wastegate housing is pretty smashed.
Assuming that I can't straighten it out, can I just take the wastegate actuator from another turbo and use that? I'll have to make a new bracket to get it to fit, but switching actuators shouldn't be a problem, right?
Thanks,
Sonny

You should be able to find a Mistubishi Actuator for pretty cheap! Those turbos are constantly being upgraded by the DSM community! All you have to do is take off a couple of bolts and disconnect the actuator rod and it should come off!
