Default hondata question

Have a friend thinking about getting the stage4 so he can program it himself, but does the 845 price include the ROM burner or is that separate? Is there no way to store values in the ECM without using a ROM burner? I have an E6K, so this rom burning is new to me.
thanks,
Jared

Does not include the programmer. Programmer/Emulator package is 270.
Basically imagine a regular chipped ecu, same basic principle except the program
is not just a regular aftermarket rom.

so is there anyway to test a program before you burn it to a ROM? and are those chips rewritable or write once?

they do have a chip you can purchase that is rewritable for roughly $25. You might buy a couple of them as I have seen them on occasion F*** up.

the rom burner also acts as an emulator during tuning. in other words using the hondata software and a laptop in conjuction with the burner/emulator you can run your car off of the laptop and then save the file when you are happy with it. then you can burn that file to a chip.
