Default building poor man type r

I have a 1991 CRX HF with a b16a swap right now. I'm about to buy a b18c1 block and build a poor man's type r. I was wondering what internals I should use for the b18c1. Pistons/Rods?? should I use b16a, itr, or ctr pistons and rods? etc etc. I'm going to end up upgrading the head to a type r drivetrain. Thanks for any help you can give me

use a gsr head if u can get one cause by using the b16 head ur actually losing compression.... and for the block use jdm oem p30 pistions which would make a nice all motor beast and get the head done up

i would just buy some stock p73 aka type r pistons you can get them for preaty cheap. then your bottom end will basically be a type r.

p30 pistons(mid to upper 11's comp with B16 head)
oem gsr rods
all oem bearings, rings etc
b16 or b18c vtec head
the b16 makes you lose .2 compression if I remember correctly, not enough to notice.
nice cams
nice header/IN manifold
good tuner/tuning

Id bet you would hit around 180-190 whp with a decent tune. I have a gsr block thats awaiting this treatment and from most of the looking around I have done 175-200 whp is the norm for this setup(all variables being the same or similar of coarse). The nicest part about this setup is that its mostly all oem.

my buddy went wit the p30 setup wit a ported head and manifold stage one cams i think on the block and it pushed 213 compression will be near the 12's wit the p73 pistons compression will be a lower
