GSR block with B16a head?
Pros:
More torque
Main girdle
B16 flow characteristics are better at high rpms
Cons:
slightly weaker R:S ratio
lower CR with B16 head
A Type R engine is basically a B18C block (with factory strengthened internals and higher compression pistons) mated with a B16 head. I'm running this setup currently and love it.

Just to clarify, the P30's will yield higher compression than the ITR pistons but not the CTR pistons. ITR pistons in a B18C with a B16 head is a very strong reliable street setup.
