I have the same motor/tranny, that's about what I'm at.

Yes. 65mph in an EH3 Civic Si and EH6 del Sol Si (0.750:1 5th gear) should be between 3000-3100 RPM.

65mph in an EJ1 Civic EX and EH9 Civic EX (0.702:1 5th gear) should be between 2800-2900 RPM.

The short-geared B-series transmissions turn higher revs than that.

Because it's an automatic and the torque convertor locks and unlocks.

that's probably because the wheels you are riding on are smaller than the ones the itr tranny was originally designed to run with. Right?

Therefore slipping. Or maybe his tire size affects the reading...

Tire size does not affect the speedometer/tachometer rading ratio - it only affects actual ground speed vs. indicated speed.

automatics are 2700
you're lucky to even be at 3000 at 65 with your tranny

True... I'm assuming he has the speedometer accurate now, in which case my previous statement would be true
