Default DAmn it

Well, I got fucked. The D16Z6 I bought had a rod knocking and the tranny wont go into second. I guess I lose! Anyway I am getting ready to buy a D16Z6 block from sohfast.com but I cant afford the SI tranny right now, so would my DX tranny work fine on it for awhile and will I still notice a performance difference from the d15b7 and the d16z6?

D16z6's arent that much, and yes you should feel a difference. But you feel it all you will need the Si tranny.

I believe the gearing is the same between the Z6 and B7 trannies, but the final drives are different. Wouldn't be TOO bad with the B7 tranny, but get the Z6 in as soon as you can. I put a B7 tranny on my friend's EX and it slowed down a tad, but nothing major.

I'm planning on ordering my d16z this week, maybe thursday. Sux to have no car. If I had a choice, I'd leave the car there, hitch rides to work, and save on a real swap. oh well
