Default Headunit Problems

hey I finaly got a head unit after a wile of no music in my civic and its not working..its getting no power, i know I wired everything correctly because i tried it in my friends car and it worked, I also no its not the fuse becasue my cigarette lighter works..so im thinking the only thing it coulb be is the harness that comes with the car, is there any other possiblities before i take it to a professional???

What you can do is get the 12v and Acc from your ignition harness in the steering column.

there should be two fuses for the radio, most hondas have one in the engine bay and the other inside of the car.

Depending on which car he has, it could be the 7.5A ecu backup fuse under the hood, the 15A labeled radio in the driver's kick, or a seperate fuse for the interior accessories in which case he might notice the cig lighter or dome light not working.
