Ok I am reassembling my b16a1. I have the crank in and was getting ready to tighten down the main bolts. In the manual I have(Haynes Civic 96-00, CR-V97-00, and Teg 94-00) it says that the dohc vtec equiped motors have a bridge on the bottom on the main caps. I cannot find it and don't remember it. Was it really on my motor? Or is it only on GS-Rs because that is what the manual would be based on? Thanks guys need help fast!!!

 

The b16a does not have the block girdle.
