question about the Turbo smart MBC
just purchased the TurboSmart black sleeper MBC on ebay. guy says he is selling it because his tuner told him it will ONLY work with Internal WG setups. i could have sworn i have seen many people use these things on external WG setups many times. i have only used EBCs in the past. dont know why his tuner would tell him that.
anyways. according to the directions the direction of the ARROW goes towards the WG.
so i wanted to test the MBC. i tried to blow air through the MBC in the direction of the arrow and i can not get anything through to the other side no matter if i have the DIAL turned all the way up or down... yet if i blow through the MBC in the OPPOSITE direction of the arrow i CAN get air through to the other side and it lessens or greatens depending on the DIAL turns..
is there something wrong? or am i missing something here thats slipping my mind.

actually. when i do get air through blowing the opposite direction of the arrow it doesnt actually go through the other side it blleds air off through some little hole in the middle of the MBC between the bottom and the dial...
im just worrie that if i cant get air through the other side going the direction of the arrow like the directions say then the WG wont get any pressure from the boost source and i will over boost. unless im thinking incorrectly about how these MBC's work

well i can register about 4 -5 psi on a boost gauge lol. i figured i would be able to blow SOME air through one side of the MBC.

thats good to hear then. so VAC line goes from MBC to WG in direction of the arrow.
i guess ill just try to find a friend that has one and see wha theirs does as far as pressure from one side through the other

did you blow into the MBC in the direction of the arrow and notice that you couldnt get any air through even though you were blowing teh correct direction? and did you hook it up and it still worked anyways?
