definitely, just cut a little off the fan shroud, or change to a slim fan

less backpressure = better response and more power.

your best bet would be to smootly transition from 2.5" to 3" after that first bend. this way you can keep the oem fan/shroud location yet still have a 3" dp/exhaust. i honestly dont think you would pick up much gains from a true 3" up to the flapper housing. the housing is still only 2.5" as well as the 3 bolt flange, maybe if you went to an external w/g and a standard 5 bolt flange...

is that a t3 super60?
