speed sensor circuit
alright here's the problem: i've got a 94 del sol with a b16a swap in it and the speedo and trip meter doesn't work. i had a short a while ago and it hasn't worked since. i've changed the vss and even tried a different clauster to see if that could be it. all my fuses are good and i've even went as far as changing the plug on the engine harness. i have a diagram from an helms manuel that shows a "speed sensor circuit"...not sure what that is, maybe it could be fried. i'm pretty much in the dark on this one. wouldn't really care but because it's throwing a cel, vtec won't work
any ideas?
any ideas?
VSS CEL code or something else?
Go to the fuel system section of the Helmes. In the index, you'll see VSS. There's a trouble-shooting procedure for finding out what's wrong with the VSS. Follow it and see where it leads.
Looks like it's either a wiring problem or bad ECU according to the manual.
