speedometer not working
Hey,
I just started driving my parents old '93 Del Sol. Right now one of my biggest problems is that the speedometer is not working. Any suggestions on how to fix it.

Check the sensor its located on top of the tranny. Google search the part to see what it looks like. Check and make sure the wires are intact and the plug is good.

Scan for codes. If you get a code 17, replace your Vehicle Speed Sensor. A VSS for my D16 was like 20 bucks. Pop it in yourself and you save another 80 from the stealership. here's what it looks like out of the car:

it just doesnt work or is innaccurate?after replacing my speed sensor with no results(mine would read from 5-20 mph less,and you never knew what to believe)i replaced the instrument cluster.that solved the problem.
