I have a 98 hatchback and i recently purchased a 98+ spec type R motor.... I know that my hatchback is obd2a and i believe that the motor is obd2b. I was informed i need a jumper harness in order to get the motor to work in my car... My question is, if i get the whole harness from the motor (which was formerly in an SI), can i just run that harness to the ECU. (all EK owners know that the WHOLE harness comes out right up to the ECU, thus the question )

You purchased a JDM engine correct? If so, use your stock harness or a 96-98 EX harness. The JDM ITR's were all OBD2a and a Si harness won't plug into the ECU.
