what are you talking about? The actual engine harness? or the ECU harness? If you have an OBD-I motor and ecu, u'll need a conversion harness. I suggest Kenji for that one. If you are talking about the engine harness, its just a matter of swappin and switching over plughs and such from the harness on the motor to the existing harness. Nothing difficult. Most swap right over.

use your stock harness and add/modify the necessary wires.......
already got rid of your stock harness? buy a 96-98 ex harness

I think boomslang had them on sale for 75 and Kenji makes a real nice conversion harness also. His are all factory color code.
Why don't you get the whole wiring harness with the motor and then you won't have to worry about anything. You could even go obdII if you wanted to. All you have to add to your dx harness would have been knock sensor, vtec solenoid and actuator lines.
