Default Valve lash adjustment tool

I need to adjust my valve lash but I dont know who makes the best tool to do this or what store I can get from. I just did my head swap and the valve tap needs major adjusting. I would prefer to go to a store instead of having it shipped so I can do it today. Thanks in advance!

You can buy them at most auotparts stores. I think they are about 40 bucks. And I don't know about any difference in quality.

If you have a non vtec head, a wrench and a screwdriver work wonders.

yea what motor is it. as stated above,
if it is a non vtec head you don't need the special tool.

You can also take whatever socket fits on the nut...12mm? Make sure you have a deep socket to do this. The end that would normall snap onto the ratcheting handle, you grind down two sides flat to accomidate the ability to use an opened end wrench to hold the socket while you stick a thin screw driver down the center of it to keep the proper gap on the valve. You then turn the socket and viola.

A poor mans way to make the tool. It is effective, just takes a little time to make it.
