AEM EMS users....Ignition set up?
Just curious on your set ups and success stories. What plugs your using/gap? How much power you put down and what rpm rev to?
Are there any 500whp+ on stk ignition? Reason for me asking is it seems like everyone that I know w/ high whp using AEM EMS have breaking up issues w/ stock set ups and/or msd (race or pump doesnt matter). Is the new msd dizzy the way to go? Any info appreciated....thanks

My setup seems to be working just fine. I run the stock dizzy with the AEM. I make 388whp@10psi and my redline is 9500. I just havn't turned up the boost yet. I run BKR7e's gapped to .030.
im running bone stock gsr ignition and the butt dyno says ~350-375 hp.
If your looking to upgrade the ignition system (like i am shortly) look into running DIS. Coil on plug with the aem C2DI system.

I'm using the Tony1 Hall Effect setup with a MSD DIS-4 and motorcycle COP. I used to use the AEM C2DI until three of them died on me for no apparent reason, but the DIS-4 appears to work fine. I used to make a bit over 400 WHP, now making about 300 WHP with a supercharger, and ignition is perfect, no misfires, idles unbelievably smooth, very nice setup.

Yea, I have not heard any positive feedback on the coil packs...
My ignition set up was fine at 400whp (just msd coil, everything else stock),
but once we starting getting close to 500whp the plugs kept having to be gapped almost every run..we ended up at like .020

there were problems with the original boxes. Its supposedly all fixed now.
But for the OP, pretty much the best you can get is to go with DIS. If you want to get the tony1 hall sensor and get magnet pick ups put in the exhaust cam gear, you can also ditch the whole distributor....
