Motor Rev.
i dont kno what that redlines at..but im assuming its like 7-7.5k ...its fine everyonce in a wile...i have a d15...i drive that thing hard as hell everyday..i have to basicly redline every gear with my 70 hp..still running good..havent had any probs yet..so..have fun everyonce in a wile..redline her..its good for her
i reved out my crx almost every day and it still runs strong but after awhile your head will start ticking but like everybody knows that just a honda thing most you will have to do is adjust the valves if the happens other then that hondas are made to last have fun
you can rev to the stock redline in every gear and nothing is gunna happen, honda put those there as a safety point, i doubt they would put it above an rpm which could damage the motor...
edit and for taking it higher than redline is this what your tach says? because i bet it is just off 200 rpm...

your tach is off then, if you redline is 6800 it wont go any higher there is a fuel cutoff, which means that your tach isoff 200rpm in the higher range, it isnt uncommon for hondas at all

The B18B1 fuel cutoff is 7200 RPM. The redline on the tach is 6800 RPM.

my tach goes to 11,000 and ive been going off of the redline specs that ive found online for my motor, which was a redline of 6800
so i somtimes end up shifting when my tach reads 7 to run it out.

dont over rev it.. you could drop a valve.. or bend a rod.. and you could even spin a bearing! just because your tach reads up to 11k, doesnt mean itll go there.. if you have a b18b, you should notice that you have almost literally no power after 6k anyways..
i have a y8 and my reline is 6800 but itll go a little past it before the fuel cutoff kicks in. Anyways with my D16y8 most of the power is towrds the redline cause of the vtec.

Not necessarily. Just because you have VTEC doesn't mean all of your power is up top. There is a point where the power of the engine will drop off. I'm not sure exactly where that is at. But you don't need to rev the **** out of your engine. Shifting might actually make you go faster.

You're fine where you are, don't rev it any higher than that though, and I wouldn't recommend doing it everytime you get into your car either. I know people who beat the **** out of their car everytime they get in it, the results are never positive.
