Default After rotating tires...

I took the car for a drive and for some reason it pulls right whenever im driving. its not just on certain roads but pretty much all roads. its almost like i have to use some strength to keep the car going straight. i dont understand what would cause this. i have rotated my tires tons of times, but this is the first time this has happened. is a wheel alignment necessary? how often should i get my wheels aligned? any info appreciated. thanks.

are you using directional rotating tires? Check for corded tires or low tire pressure as mentioned above.

Pressures and mounting are the most obvious things and they're the easiest to check, and you've done that.

Other possibilities include an alignment problem, a problem with a tire (which can arise due to manufacturing defect, a puncture, etc), or a suspension problem (e.g. cracked bushings, etc) for which uneven tire wear can also be a visible symptom.

First, check all the tires visually to see if there is uneven tire wear or other signs of a problem. Then, try rotating the tires again and see if it still pulls. If the problem goes away, it's associated with one of the tires; if it doesn't, then get an alignment and also put the car up on a lift and check all the suspension components.

Just keep in mind that the uneven wear may be a symptom of another problem (like in the suspension, like I mentioned). I would still check the suspension out next time it's up on a lift.

Also, if the tires wear more along both edges than in the center of the tread, that's often a symptom of underinflation, and greater wear in the center may reflect overinflation.
