Default heat shield

Want to do some heat sheilding. looked at the J's but I dont think it will work (sidewinder manifold 3in. ). I mainly want to shield the passenger side - AC lines, battery, fuse box. Now I would love to have something to look as nice as the J's. But if I have to maybe I could wrap these areas in something. I know someone has tackled this.

I may end up doing that very thing. But I was hoping that I could find a nice aluminum one and then buff it out. By the way, its impressive the way you can post and have pictures of what you're referring to that quickly!

actually the aluminum piece still heats up the AC lines ... on thing you could do is wrap the manifold with exhaust wrap ... make the whole engine bay cooler

I see the wrap sometimes, never used it though. It appears to be some kind of nylon. I'm not sure. Where can I find it ?

All kinds of heat management material is available at:

http://www.blrmotorsports.com/suppliesheat.htm

If you just want to protect the AC and heater lines, get the Thermal Hose Sleeving. Or attach a pad of Inferno Shield to the remaining heat shield that protects the AC & battery area.

Careful with wrap on your $$$ header. Many have experienced premature failure of exhaust systems that have used it (including me)...they can crack and fall apart. It would probably be better for header life to send it to Jet-Hot for coating inside and out.

to having the headers coated.

To protect the ac lines and heater hoses, run reflective tape with a fiberglass core. Running a hood with some kind of ventilation helps as well.
