chipped ecu idle problem

Default chipped ecu idle problem

hey wats good i just bought a p28 chipped ecu for my 99 si. i installed it and now my car idles at 2grand and bounces from 2grand to 1500 like a tps sensor can someone help me out? and also there is alot of theft in my town so i wanted to know if its bad to take my ecu out everynite and if not disconecting the battery wen connecting and disconnecting it is bad ok thanks for the help

the only danger with removing your ECU every night is eventually you will wear out the connections. But it will take years to do this.

the bad idle... it depends on which chip, what's in it and if it idled good with the original ECU.

yea it idled fine wit my stock ecu i bought it from phearable.net a p28 ecu other than the idling its awesome but i just wanted to know wat it was

i had the same problem when i had my new chip ecu.
my idle will go up and down when the car was cold.
lately it dont do it anymore. after the engine warms up is good.
Is your motor stock or not

im having the problem you just described... was fine after a block or 2 so i havnt really bothered to complain... this can be fixed? is my ecu broken?
