chipped ecu idle problem
hey wats good i just bought a p28 chipped ecu for my 99 si. i installed it and now my car idles at 2grand and bounces from 2grand to 1500 like a tps sensor can someone help me out? and also there is alot of theft in my town so i wanted to know if its bad to take my ecu out everynite and if not disconecting the battery wen connecting and disconnecting it is bad ok thanks for the help
the only danger with removing your ECU every night is eventually you will wear out the connections. But it will take years to do this.
the bad idle... it depends on which chip, what's in it and if it idled good with the original ECU.
