vtec pressure switch
when i convert to obd1 from obd2b its throwing a code for pressure switch which wont activate my vtec but the problem is i ONLY have a vtec solenoid. i DONT have the pressure switch but i have no codes wen i use my stock obd2 p72
thanx!

You need to get a pressure switch.. it wasnt on your harness from the obd1 motor?? weird, you have the vtec solenoid plug but not the plug for the pressure switch correct?? what kind of car did you swap the motor into btw, would help out alot
just splice the vtec pressure switch wire into the solenoid wire.
this is what i do to all swaps that do not come with the pressure switch.
or u can ground the pressure wire also.

its a jdm b18c. i believe they did not come with it. jdm ecu only needs the solenoid for vtec to engage.
im running a usdm p28 so its looking for the pressure switch.
ur saying just ground the pressure wire from the ecu or tap it with the solenoid?

well with my JDM swap i have, i had both vtec pressure switch and vtec solenoid plugs.. i wired both to the ecu and plugged them in. The VTEC pressure switch has two wires coming out of it, wire 1 to the ecu and the other is a ground wire. But supposely JDM motors dont have vtec pressure switches, so I think your suppose to pin it to your ecu and ground it somewhere. Ill try to find out and let you know
*edit* you can either ground the vtec pressure switch or tap it into the vtec solenoid wire
