Default idle problem with 98 y8 swaped dx hatch! need help

Like the title says i just bought a 98 dx hatch with a y8 swap but it stays at a constant idle at 2k and never goes lower.... the CE light isn't on but i think the light may have been broken or the wire cut because it seems like my ecu is in a limp mode im not getting vtec and my car is very very doggy.... if anyone has any suggestions that would be great! thanks

i would check your intake idle control valve, or you could jus go and hook your car up to a DTC machine and it'll let you know if your car is thorwing any codes
