Default hatch help

okay i was out in my car today and i had it started up and it ran for awhile and once it got nice and warm i noticed it wud rev up a tiny and almost stall out. I noticed it did it a little bit when i bought the car but not very bad. Now its starting to do it and im not quite sure was it is. Its like woooom wom wooooom wom woooooom wom like reving up and down and then it will stop for a sec and them itll drop to like 300 rpms and almost stall and then itll pick back up. Theres no check engine lite on and i looked at the ecu and theres no light. I messed with the throttle cable a little and that doesnt seem to be the problem. and it doesnt do it until its warmed up. Any Ideas on what it could be? And my dad pointed out to me today cuz he seen me take off and i smashed the gas real hard, spun through first and slammed 2nd and i spun. he said that a big cloud of black and blue smoke came out the tail pipe? what does that mean? and how do i fix it.

And something else. I've never been happy with where my clutch catches and id like to make it closer to the floor. How do i do that?

Thanks for some help and ive said before id post up pics but how do i do it?

The idle surge is likely a fuel pressure regulator issue.

Smoke might be caused by the same issue.

know is the IACV that thing with the plug on the throttle body or is it the rectangle thing on the intake mani? and this is a 95 civic si head so i dunno if its diff. My one friend told me it was that thing on the throttle body and mine used screws and most others use pop ribbets so i would have a hard time finding one to replace.

All exhausts turn black; it's carbon build up from burning gas-o-line. Now, if its spitting gas out yer tail pipe then it sounds like a fuel tuning issue. Otherwise, check that IACV first.

Also... EF's have cable clutches so all you got to do to adjust it is by a damn repair manual so you can look for yourself at the picture of where to adjust the linkage to make it grab where you want.

i think its spitting oil my exhaust comes out and the end goes up at an angle and i got black specs above the bumper and on the bumper. what can cause it to spit oil out? My integra did it with synthetic oil but this is a vtec motor so i have to run synthetic right?
