Default Tranny makes noise...

anyone one know whats wrong with my car.. i have a b16 tranny. when i step on the clutch i hear this scratching noise.. it sounds like a whirring noise like dry leaves getting crushed. it also makes the noise when engage first gear.. when im in second to 5th gear is fine i don't hear the noise. It sounds worst and the sound is gets louder when i reverse... anyone know what this could be?

could be one or maybe more of three bearing.... the throw out bearing (the one on the release fork that actually contacts the pressure plate to release the clutch) The pilot bearing (in the flywheel, but doesn’t make since in this case because it would be heard all the time.) or maybe the main input shaft bearing (this one is actually inside the tranny... the bearing closest to the clutch housing and is known to go bad, however once again it would be heard most of the time. esp. in neutral no matter if the clutch is, or is not engaged....) hopefully this could be some help.
