How difficult is it to install a new ignition?
Well i'm sure you all know what it looks like when someone tries to steal ya honda. My ignition is all busted and i wanna replace it ASAP. I wanna know is it really hard to do it yourself or would i be better off going to the dealer. Also, I wanna know can i change the lock core. I'd like to keep my original keys but if i gotta change it with the ignition, I gotta change it with the ignition. Thanks for your help in advance

its easy. just cut the tab on the top of your steering column where the old is attached, then go buy a new one at dealership (100+ bucks) you can either switch out your key cylinder (so you can use the same key) and just screw it on the steering column, the bolts will snap off as it tightens down.
he could also find someone parting out a wrecked honda to save money (as long as they have the original keys)

It's always best to buy a new one. I just bought one off of majestic honda online. It cost me about $230. But mine just completely went out. On the longrun, it's best to spend what the thing is worth than to keep on buying **** for half the price.
It's not hard to put it on either....It's all common sense.
Anything else...let me know
