ok i have a problem i just got ym car back together and when i turn the headlights on the dash lights go off, when i turn the lights off they come on, does any one know what might cuase this?

Sounds like a bad dimmer switch...

I have the same problem. I honestly think it has something to do with the weather. It was doing this something fierce to my '93 Si during the cold days in february, but now that it's warmer, it hasn't been doing it at all. If there's any way to replace the headlight controls off the steering columb, I'm down. The electrical system shouldn't be dependent on ambient tempurature.

 

For shizzle. It's almost like when you turn your headlights on, and the clock dims. Maybe you have a raccoon.

 

Yea whenever i turn on my Highbeams the same thing happens to me.

 

turns out my dimmer switch wasn't pluged in so i hocked it up and works good now. thanks for the help guys
