ecu code 22 stopping vtec engagement?

ecu code 22 stopping vtec engagement?
i have a P72 ECU wich is throwing a code 22 (vtec preasure switch), will this stop my vtec from engaging?

yes--------------code 22 is for vtec pressure. check continuity between plug wire blk/blu and and ecu. also check to see if plug is getting ground. make sure you have the proper oil level.

mensioning the oil level, will being over the max oil line stop the vtec from engaging? i have a bit over and havnt drained it yet.
