Quick question about maintenance light
Just double checking..
The maintenance light is just a timed reminder to service ur car as in oil change and little things like that, right? Wanted to make sure im not overlooking things

How often does it come on? - does it go by milage or what?</TD></TR></TABLE>
It is triggered by mileage.
I'm not sure how often it comes on, as I have not seen the maintenance light yet in my 2000.

Maybe you got lucky and they forgot to put the bulb in for it.

Umm...you make it sound like it's a really bad thing. You just need to hold the button down for a few seconds to turn the light off.

No, not bad. Just annoying and useless.

It depends on what car you have for the maintenance light.
Up here in Canada it goes on 6K, 12K, 18K, 24K, etc. increments of 6K unless you're on an 8K maintenance vehicle so that'd be every 8K it's go on.
Oh and we're in kilometres. Dunno for your MILES mileage.
To reset the light up here you push in your odometer reset button thing, turn key to on position(one before ignition) and wait till it either beeps, flashes, or the light goes out. Turn key to OFF position and then release the odometer reset button.
Good luck.
