Default Temperature light

Just a quick question. I just bought my new Fit last week, and when its been sitting for awhile (+4 hours) the Temp light with C next to it stays on for about a minute before going off when started. Is that supposed to be normal?? Any other time it goes off right away. Thanks

Thank you. I had taken it in to the service department and they couldn't tell me why it stayed on. They wanted me to leave it overnight so they could check it out(and not give me a loaner car on top of it) You saved me a lot of hassle.

that means that your engine isn't up to operating temperature yet, and when your light goes off, the engine is

if honda couldn't tell you that, wow...

DCFryARGHHH: Yeah, it was even the supervisor that I had talked to. He said that all of the lights should be off within 5 to 10 seconds and that I should have it checked out. Glad nothings wrong.

I did look at the owner's manual but I though that maybe a minute of being on was a bit excessive.

No Honda Care extended warranty for me.

The person must have been the weakest link in the Honda service department, or that service department is REALLY bad.
