i have a 99 lude with an auto sportshift tranny(base not sh). i just put a new engine two months ago then the car got broken into. now everything is fixed and the tranny is acting up. when the car is in drive it feels like it is jumping gears. also it jumps when pressing gas from a complete stop. If i try sportshift it still does it. i know these trannies suck but could it be fixed by a flush or something else. any suggestions?

 

My friends base was doing the same last summer and changing his fluid fixed the problem.

 

if the fluid is dark and smells burned i would say you are well on your way to needing a new tranny.
