my setup with be a d16a6, std mani, .42 .48 t3, 2.5 pipes all around, s14 SMIC, and turboedit for management.

my question is can i run 2-3lbs of boost on my stock injectors? ive heard of people running 12 psi and not even maxing out 450cc so shouldn't i be safe around the said levels of boost on the stock 240cc injectors?

btw this is just temp. until i get ahold of some 450s and someone to tune my care well, up to 8psi.

 

hrmm i woudlnt bother ... stock injectors are already pretty much at about 67% duty cycle at wot .. however you need to account that its not runnin at 11:5- 12:1 AFR. once you add positive pressure to you've already exceeding the 85 duty cycle recommend theshold at 7500 RPM and 2 psi of boost

The feeling of needing to rush things is what kills motors. Doing what you're trying to do is like asking if you'll be ok to drive around town with one lug nut on each wheel. Just don't do it. There's no point.

 

I ran 5psi on stock 240cc injectors in my LS. I also jacked the base fuel pressure up to 55psi though before doing so...

 

Hardly sounds like a reason to do it.

im running 7psi on a 14b stock D16A6/stock 240cc and my wideband tells me in in the high 10's low 11's at WOT in the upper RPM's.

 

at what fuel pressure?? how long do you think those injectors will last at over 100% duty cycle?

 

stock fuel pressure. i dont care how long they last honestly im waiting for it to blow up so i can stuff my Z6 into this car.
