i have been getting knock sensor code(23) on my p13 and i cant figure it out i re ran the wire directly from the knock to the ecu and its still throwing the code, what can it be do i just need a new knock? what negative effects is this knock code causing to my performance

 

its retarding your timing to protect the motor from detonation. First off, are you sure its not detonating?

 

the motor runs really strong i with the code it ran a 13.9

 

can anyone help me?

 

did you use a sheilded wire to run from the knock sensor to the ecu?

 

no, i didnt just regular 18 gauge wire, does that matter

 

honda didnt spend the extra money to use a shielded wire just to spend money.

 

ok so what kind of shielded wire should i use to make the connection for the knock sensor? i cant remember seeing it on the h22/eg swap page.

how sensitive does it have to be... can i just bumble through this and solder like the monkey i am....

you guys have me thinking and second guessing myself.
