OBD1 motor in OBD2 car
I have an OBD1 motor going into an OBD2 car. The motor has the OBD2 harness with the OBD1 injectors and fuel rail. The fuel is going through the rails to the injectors, but the injectors are not squirting into the motor. The CKF sensor is plugged into the harness but not hooked up becuase OBD1 motors do not come with this sensor. Any help?
there are a ton of threads on this.....but i have the same setup as you...i used my obd2 harness on the obd1 motor.....do you have an obd1-obd2 jumper.....? it's an easy swap...
No I don't have a jumper - what is that exactly? For some reason it seems that the motor isn't getting any fuel, but there is evidence that the fuel is at least getting to the injectors. The motor turns over fine too, but won't actually start up.
what ecu are you using?
also, a jumper harness lets you adapt a different OBD type ecu into your car. Normally OBD1 ecu's are the better ecu's to use because they are reprogrammable and don't look for the additional OBD2 sensors (2nd 02 & CKF) like US OBD2 ecu's do.

Yeah man, what ecu are you using? I just did this exact swap in my CX hatch last week. Obd1 b16 in a obd2 97 CX hatch. I just got a obd2a-obd1 jumper harness and then everything is pretty much plug and play.
If you arent using a jumber harness, then the ecu is probably looking for that CKF senor that is not used on obd1 motors.
