Default Missfire?

Got a real slight missfire on a 96 NSX. checked all the mechanical goodies, leak down, compression, timming. Has anyone had similar problems? What did you find? Thanks

Installed all new plugs, and nothing changed. Its hard to say which cylinder, its not a dead miss, just real light, mostly under load at about 2000 rpm.

Maybe perform a diagnostic on each coil and make sure that the timing belt is tight...

What do you mean when you say "misfire"? It's normal to hear a slight valve clatter from the NSX engine. You might want to take it to someone who does a lot of NSX service work, and get their opinion on whether what you're hearing is normal.

To me it sounds like a stumble. Meaning he sees a momentary lapse in power.

Sorry it took a while to re-post! first off the missfire was a very slight engine stumble under high load situations and or if you stabbed the throttle hard to WOT the engine would stubble a bit. Very slight but if you know engines it was definetly noticeable. What i ended up finding was that the bank 1-3 coils had rust on the plugs and on the coil leads themselves. This seamed to be caused by the coil cover missing the seal on it that is there to prevent this. The good news was that the coils are still a warranty item and were provided @ no cost. New plugs and coils and now she runs great. I also installed a new timing belt, water pump, and front main seal. The water pump was updated and had a different (longer) pressure relief weep spount so the lower timming cover had to be updated to provide a hole for the spout. Over all i did not find that the timming belt was very hard to do. I did have the acura nsx manual and this helped a great deal. Now the valve lash was a pain in the *** to set on the exhaust side. Anyway thanks for all the comments. I find its great to ask people who own them or work on them what they think before you start looking into it, seems to save a lot of time and gets you started looking in a good direction. Thanks...
