Default Ls-Vtec b16 head and tranny info STOCK

ok im planning on taking my b18b1 block and using a b16 head and tranny. norm task. But what I dont know is what the numbers I might be putting down for hp, or 1/4 mile.(I have looked around and seen from 180hp like inbetween gs-r and type-r)I know every engine is diffrent and not the same but if you know, or have a <U>stock</U> ls-vtec b16 head and tranny and have the info please share. Thanks.

then you know this is a bunk question that depends not only on the slight differences of the engine, but what kind of set up each person is using. someone using a stock ls bottom and stock gsr top is going to have totally different numbers than someone with 12:1 pistons and wild cams or the low compression turbo....and we wont even go into those great lengths....

The only way to answer your question is to build it, tune it, get out there and drive it. See what you and your car is capable of. Tires and your driving ability will be the result.

stock block, stock b16 head, i'd say your gonna make somewhere in the ranges of 140-160hp least to the most.

My block is fully built and tuned and im making 186whp.

My friend did a stock b20 bottom end with stock b16 head and made 165; but the b20 is a bit stronger then the ls.

But as stated before, every motor is different, but your not gonna make 180 on stock block, stock head.

Build it and find out, I have a stock block ls with a stock b16head. shitty header, short intake and 2.5 exhaust with gsr cat and apexi n1. i can run 15.2 sometimes, then again my clutch may not be in the best shape and even more important my driving skills may not be in the best shape either.

lol! that depends....on how much experience you have and what you consider to be "fancy ****." if you know what you're doing, no, it's not difficult.

i wouldn't advise doing this swap until you've got some basic experience on minor things like changing out a head gasket and doing valve lashing.

Does anyone ever do their research on LS/vtakk????? Read up, then make a decision, just dont do it b/c it sounds cool and give you unreliable horsepower.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Civicracer17 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so how do you do this conversion?</TD></TR></TABLE>
