I had the exact same problem! But it just dissapeared , I have no clue why it did that. After that , my subs would cut out and the full ranges would stay on. Then my headlights would blink with the bass , then all of a sudden . . . . nothing was wrong and my bass hit harder then ever. WTF?

You will have to be more spicific about your setup. How many amps do you have? Are your interiors running off the deck amp or external amp? Obviously what ever source is powering your interiors has the problem. Most likey a grounded out speaker wire a blown speaker or a bad amp.

Your internal amp in the HU has a protection circuit that will shut the amp down in order to protect it from blowing. One of your speakers and speaker wire are causing the amp to shut down. Best way to find out which one is to disconnect each speaker one at a time with the radio on at the back of the deck. IE cut the wires for the front right, no sound? reconnect and cut the wires for the front left. I fthe sound come back on after cutting one of the speakers you know where you problem is. Check the speaker to see if its blown or the wire connected to it have a short. If none then its possible the internal amp in the radio is bad. Mine went bad in my alpine no biggy just connected a 4 ch amp the RCA preouts should still work.

With all the speakers disconnected, try using a uninstalled speaker you know works and attach it right at the back of the deck if still no sound then yeah your amp is bad in the deck.
